Laboratory Standard Recordings | ear candy for the aural adventurer

Bright Shuttle

We are excited to have a few copies of two cd-rs from Knoxville’s Bright Shuttle. Scott Murrin (guitars) and Eric McClean (drums/percussives) have been regularly sequestering themselves in a basement studio since the stone age, occasionally emerging to play live under a number of monikers- most recently Bright Shuttle. Recent collaborations with local musician/recording engineer Tre Berney have produced three separate recordings. We have gotten our hands on two of those. Anthems and Rises All Ships are both essential to your collection. We have very few copies of these, so don’t hesitate to email us - orders(at)laboratorystandard.com - and get yours before they’re gone daddy gone. Check the Distro page for more info.

Check the mp3 player for samples (check back if they’re not up yet - they’ll be there today).

Jams are here

Ladies and gentlemen- we have audio. Try it out - just mash the ‘click to dig some jams’ link over to the right. over there. see it? We’ll have more cuts from our releases/distributed titles up soon, as well as some special unreleased sounds for your listening enjoyment. The cover art is acting a little funny - it doesn’t come up immediately. If you don’t get a visual- just click the tune again and it’ll come right up.

LSR-005 is in the works. Hopefully it will see an early Fall release. You’ll be pleased.

Tour Dates Updated

Hey all. We added some Black Sarah dates and a Mountains of Moss date to the tour dates page.

Two things…

1. We are working on our first newsletter! No, we’re not going to inundate your inbox with pointless botherings and ruminations on Cormac McCarthy and Judas Priest. We will, however, send out updates here and there, including new additions to the catalog and crazy blue-light specials.

Please subscribe here to show that you love us and support our endeavor.

2. The Double Muslims show previously scheduled at Cake Shop is currently finding a new venue. That show is TBA until further notice.

as you were.
