Lag Time

the fall is upon us here in the foothills of the Great Smoky (yes, it’s spelled that way) Mountains. the hellish heat has ebbed, and these clear nights are gettin’ right for porch sitting. Mountains of Moss and New Madrid are polishing their respective contributions to LSR-005, and we can’t friggin wait! as soon as the cool air is upon us during mid-day we should have this tiny platter of goodness on our hands and on it’s way to you.

we’d like to take a second to recognize the friendly folks who have been good enough to take some records for distribution. Get yourselves on over to Tomentosa Records and pick up a pile of new folk, white noise, and otherworldy eclectica. They specialize on hard to find and rare releases, many of which are handmade and mind melting. Then, take your sweet ass down south to Tonevendor and dig deeper into the sandbox of electric goodness. fill your coffers, view your shopping carts, and for god’s sake make sure to enter your name as it appears on your card. in other news, you’ll be able to pick up a copy of LSR-004 (Lay All Over It) at from Thrill Jockey Records soon. boing.

we’ll have more news as news breaks.

LSR-005

Well, folks.  We’ve solidified plans for LSR-005, and hope for November release.  The artists are in the studio and the creative sweat is dripping from their bearded brows.   Okay, so brows aren’t bearded, but their faces sure are.  Like creepy hair masks.  yikes.

His latest release, Trouts, is an electric journey through a mind out of focus, out of step, and thus totally right on. limited cd-r with Chinese sandpaper. Do not wait. Snooze and lose.

Happenings.

Hey folks.   It’s been super busy around here.  School, work, shows, travel… all conspiring to divert our focus.  We will not be deterred.

MDWY and Reverend Sunshine (Cain solo work, maybe stand up comedy) will be playing at the TN Valley Bicycles back deck for 1st Friday.  It will be free as free can be.  Marie’s will be slinging cups of booze next door.  Various Whisk-Hutzel groups will appear, including Country Two.  Come celebrate the first Friday of the month.  It doesn’t happen all the time, you know.
