Well, friends, Fall is here in East Tennessee. The skies are darker blue, the air is cool and smells of burning wood, and the ground is covered in a quilt of burnt orange, charred brown, and tarnished silver. The moist heat and deep greens of summer have been exorcised, and the time has come for the trees, finally unencumbered by their foilage-skin, to threaten the streets with their twist and gnarl.
Our friend Jeremy (Noisufusion, The Shift) works as a recording engineer and records mad beats under the moniker DJ This That and the Other. He’s got some new recordings up - check them out HERE.
Local rock outfit Woman has a new 7″ ready for sale, and have a release show coming up at The Pilot Light on December 14th. The lineup is TBA.
Our friends at Whisk-Hutzel Records are finally putting the finishing touches on their compilation 12″ record. Hopefully we’ll have our hands on it by the new year.
I don’t know about Cain, but I’ve been digging hard on Burial’s Untrue and Holy Fuck’s LP. Joanna Newsom with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra laid waste to my soul.
The new record is a few weeks away. More soon.
