Laboratory Standard Recordings was realized by Cain Blanchard and Matt Silvey in or around 1999. Originally based in the small college town of Cookeville, TN, LSR was designed as a vehicle for Cain and Matt’s rock band Joshua Falken Trio. The Kittyhawk Hoax EP was the first release and is waaay out of print. Shortly thereafter life took them away from Cookeville, and away from LSR. Recently their paths have converged once again, and Laboratory Standard Recordings has found new life.
